Belgium will allocate EUR 150,000 of cultural aid to Ukraine

This was agreed upon by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and the Federal Cultural Institutions of Belgium Hadja Lahbib, who arrived in Kyiv the other day.

In addition, Brussels will provide new humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine and joined the humanitarian initiative “Grain from Ukraine’.

“During the meeting, we agreed on important cooperation: Ukrainian cultural seasons in Belgium, supply of generators to our institutions and media for the winter, spreading the ban on russian propaganda, assistance in preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage and aid in the amount of EUR 150,000 to the cultural sphere,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko.

During Hadja Lahbib’s visit, Oleksandr Tkachenko led a tour for his Belgian colleague to the National Art Museum of Ukraine and the Sophia of Kyiv National Sanctuary Complex.

“We showed our art, historical and architectural monuments, our history and roots,” he noted.
