Andriy Sakharov: A look towards the future

9 December, a press conference dedicated to the presentation of a new book about Andriy Sakharov, as well as a concert in memory of the great advocate will take place at 15.00. (Room 2)

Participants: Emine Dzhaparova – the First Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine; Semen Hluzman – a psychiatrist and human rights activist, former dissident and political prisoner, the president of the Ukrainian Psychiatric Association; Mustafa Dzhemilev – a political and public figure of the USSR and Ukraine of the Crimean Tatar origin, one of the leaders of the Crimean Tatar national movement, human rights activist, member of the dissident movement, political prisoner, MP of Ukraine from fraction of the party “Block of Petro Poroshenko”, the Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Crimean Tatar people; Dmytro Ostapenko – the general director of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

Additional information. Commemorative concert of Andriy Sakharov to the 27th anniversary of the death of a prominent dissident, human rights activist and the Nobel laureate will be held in Kyiv at the National Philharmonic on 15 December at 19.00.

The book in the Ukrainian language will be presented a day earlier, on 14 December. The concert will feature the participation of well-known soloist Andriy Khoteev (piano), the chamber orchestra of the Kyiv Philharmonic and the chamber choir “Credo”. Andriy Khoteev is the world level pianist, the Russian-born, emigrated to Germany and now lives in Hamburg.
