On August 9, “Crimean Evening” takes place on the occasion of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples
On August 9, on the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, a special event, “Qırım akşami” (“Crimean Evening”), organized by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and America House takes place at America House.
“Qırım akşami” is a cultural event within the implementation of the Crimean Tatar public diplomacy project, which is carried out by MIP.
Apart from a concert of Crimean Tatar songs and dances, the guests will be offered an exhibition highlighting the ethnogeny, history and culture of the Crimean Tatar people (in English) prepared by the Estonian Institute of Human Rights, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
MIP invites representatives of all diplomatic missions in Ukraine to acquaint themselves with the culture of the indigenous people of Ukraine which is now living under occupation.
