Odesa will gather journalists for free training in media intelligence

25 July, at Impact Hub Odessa Advisor to the Minister of information policy of Ukraine Dmytro Zolotukhin will hold training in information intelligence and OSINT techniques for journalists, bloggers and public activists of the city and region.

An educational event in Odesa is organized by the team of Impact Hub Odessa in the framework of cooperation “Kyiv dialogue” and OSINT Academy projects. The aim of the OSINTAcademy project is to teach everyone to use the latest OSINT techniques (OpenSourceIntelligence – intelligence on open data) to protect themselves and the citizens of Ukraine from information manipulations from both the external and the internal enemy. The workshops were held in 19 cities of Ukraine for more than 800 participants. Coach and project leader is Dmytro Zolotukhin, director of the Institute of post-information society, an independent expert on the issues of information warfare and competitive intelligence.

The training is FREE 

During a 4-hour intensive training, participants will learn how to use the tools of finding information about candidates for elected officials, politicians, individuals and legal entities, tender procurement, etc.; participants will learn to explore the URL to identify the hidden information and other useful things in the work of the journalist. Knowledge gained at training will facilitate the creation of a public-important content, including about corrupt officials, politicians, candidates for elected office, as well as to recognize “fake” and false information of the separate media and the like.
