On 12 December, "Ukrainian Amazonians" Come to Dnipro

On 12 December 2018, a unique ethnic fashion show, featuring servicewomen who took part in hostilities in eastern Ukraine, female volunteers and female journalists, will be held in Dnipro within the framework of “Ukrainian Amazonians”, an arts project.

Venue: “Menorah” cultural and business centre (4/26 Sholom-Aleikhema St, Dnipro).

Time: 5:00pm.

Organised by: Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine; Dnipro City Council; “International Vyshyvanka Day”, an NGO.

The event is aimed at boosting the morale of the military and holding a solemn event on the occasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Day (6 December).


  • An ethnic fashion show featuring embroidered clothes by famous Ukrainian designers
  • An exhibition of ethnic paintings by Roman and Nadiia Fedyn, an acclaimed family of artists
  • Murals “Ukrainian Amazonians” depicting modern servicewomen in traditional clothing from northern, southern, western and eastern Ukraine
  • A showcase of old traditional clothes from “Spadok” collection

Members of diplomatic missions, deputies, the head and other officials of Dnipro City Council, foreign and Ukrainian news media, members of international funds and Ukrainian companies, public figures, and others have been invited to the event.
