On 30 July, Media Teenz, a Media Literacy Course for Schoolers, to Be Lauched

During 30 July – 12 August 2018, workshops and lectures within the framework of the Media Teenz project will take place at the Art Hub of the news agency Ukrinform, aimed at teaching teens the basics of media literacy and media culture by the example of their own information space – a school media, where they will work as authors, editors, cameramen and photographers.
The syllabus encompasses lectures, workshops and the defence of a diploma project. Within the framework of the project, the participants will be lectured on the forms and types of media; information analysis and verification; creating and preparing content; blogging; photo and video content; Internet safety; the fundamentals of media PR; social media trends, working on Facebook and Instagram; current educational opportunities for youth, writing CVs and motivational letters.
In the next two weeks, famous practitioners of various media fields will train the students the basic skills necessary for would-be journalists and bloggers.
