On February 20th, Press Conference 'The Fourth Anniversary of Crimea’s Occupation', Dedicated to February 26th, Day of Crimea’s Resistance to Russian Occupation, to Be Held

On February 20th, at 10:00 a.m., a press conference titled ‘The Fourth Anniversary of Crimea’s Occupation’, dedicated to February 26th, the Day of Crimea’s Resistance to Russian Occupation, will be held at the news agency Ukrinform (Hall 2).

Organized by: Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine; Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.

Participants: Emine Dzhaparova, First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine; Eskender Bariev, Head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people; Akhtem Chyihoz, Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people; Oleksandra Romantsova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the Centre for Civil Liberties; Artur Kharytonov, President of the NGO Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine.

Additional information. During the press conference, a national communication campaign of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and human rights and public organizations will be presented.

Within the framework of MIP’s national communication campaign, the Fourth International Forum ‘The Occupied Peninsula: Four Years of Resistance’ and a photo exhibition will be held; a documentary on the political prisoners of the Kremlin will be presented; a board campaign ‘The Kremlin’s Prisoners’ will be carried out; and a brochure ‘The Kremlin’s Prisoners’ and a public social video ad have been produced.

Members of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people and NGOs will speak of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of Noman Chelebidzhihan, a prominent Crimean Tatar political figure, and to Crimea’s resistance, including meetings in solidarity with citizen living in occupied Crimea.
