On June 25th, Conference "Behind the Digital Curtain. Civil Society vs State Sponsored Cyber Attacks" to Take Place

On 25 June 2019, Deputy Minister of Information Policy Dmytro Zolotukhin will speak at the conference “Behind the Digital Curtain. Civil Society vs State Sponsored Cyber Attacks” in Brussels, Belgium.

The conference, organised by Promote Ukraine, an NGO, and its partners, seeks to facilitate interaction between civil society members from Ukraine, Europe, and Russia in their fight against the Kremlin’s cyber threat.

The election campaigns in Europe and Ukraine have shown the real scale of the Russian cyber threat. In recent years, the European continent has turned into a digital battlefield where hackers test and improve their skills. The Not-Petya case showed that Ukraine and Europe are closely interconnected, and a common plan of action is needed to resist the cyber threat.

Now that the election campaigns in Europe and Ukraine are over, it is time to analyse and think through the issue: How has the Russian cyber strategy been changing and developing of late?

The Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and Promote Ukraine signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of developing information society in Ukraine and protecting the national information environment in August 2015.
