University admissions process-2017. How will students of the Crimea and Donbas receive an education?

31 March, at 11.00 a press conference on the topic: “University admissions process-2017: admission of students from the Crimea and Donbas and informational support” will be held. (Hall 1)

Participants: Iryna Zhdanova – Executive Director of “Open Policy Foundation”; Emine Dzhaparova – First Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine; Georgiy Tuka – Deputy Minister of temporarily occupied territories and IDP’s of Ukraine; Oleh Sharov – Director of higher education Department of the Ministry of science and education of Ukraine.

Briefly. The press conference will present simplified conditions for obtaining the state model certificate (9 class) and diploma (11 class) and for admission to universities of Ukraine for graduates from Donbas and Crimea through the educational centers “Donbas-Ukraine”, “Crimea-Ukraine” road maps, social videos on conditions of university admission in 2017, “Open Policy Foundation” hotline.

Also on a press-conference will be provided a presentation of animated video and radio broadcast “State guarantees for equal access to education” (created by ” Open Policy Foundation ” with the support of UNICEF), two road maps: how to get the Ukrainian education in 2017, as well as two TV spots on successful stories of graduates from Donbas and TV version of the road map – 2017 for graduates from the Crimea, which was created by “Open Policy Foundation” in conjunction with the tv channel “Chernomorka”.

In addition, the “Open Policy Foundation” will reveal the “Green stream” online school project.

The press conference will announce the opening of new counseling centers in Sievierodonetsk, Kramatorsk, Kherson, to begin work in May 2017 under the “Open Policy Foundation” project with UNICEF support.

The outcome of the round table on equal access to education for children and young people from Donbas, Crimea, held at the initiative of the “Open Policy Foundation” on 27 March in MinTOT, with the participation of MES, MIP, international organizations and NGOs, will be presented.
