Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Tetiana Popova visited the opening of a new office NATO Strategic Communication's Centre of Excellence in Riga

August 20, Deputy Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Tetiana Popova during a trip to Riga StratCom Dialogue visited the opening of the NATO Strategic Communication’s Centre of Excellence in Riga.

The official opening was also attended by the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma, US Senators John McCain, Sheldon Whitehouse and John Barrasso, Ukrainian Ambassador to Latvia Yevhen Perebyinis, Member of the European Parliament Artis Pabriks, Latvian Ambassador to NATO Māris Riekstiņš, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Marina Kaljurand, Minister of Defence of Lithuania Juozas Olekas and other officials.

During working trip Tetiana Popova visited the National Council of digital media, held negotiations with the Director of Concern responsible for broadcasting, radio and television communications in Latvia Maris Rutkis on the possibility of receiving transmitters to restore broadcasting of Ukrainian TV channels.

At the initiative of Georgian representative office, Tetiana Popova met with the Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration David Bakradze and his deputies.

In addition, Tatyana Popova will deliver the report and provide closing remarks on the first day of the Riga StratCom Dialog conference. Meetings with journalists and interviews on Latvian National Television are also scheduled.
