MIP: The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a statute of the Public broadcasting

28 December 2016, the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine introduced the draft resolution “On approval of the Statute of a public joint stock company “National public broadcasting company of Ukraine” during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

“The adoption of the Statute of the broadcaster is essential for the successful establishment of the National public television and radio broadcasting in Ukraine. To this end, the State Committee for television and radio broadcasting of Ukraine has developed a draft statute. Today is the only chance to approve the Statute of NPBCU (the National public broadcasting company of Ukraine) in order to register a legal entity PJSC NPBCU in January 2017.Otherwise, the reform will not be fulfilled”, – said the Minister of information policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets.

The Government endorsed the draft Statute of the PJSC NPBCU unanimously.

Note that the draft Statute was agreed with MIP, the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting, the National Securities and Stock Market commission, the State Property Fund, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.

Recall that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroysman has repeatedly noted the need to address issues that may create an obstacle to the Public broadcasting reform. The head of Government instructed the Minister of information policy of Ukraine YurIi Stets to detect and prevent such threats.
