Today, 28 August, during a meeting of Government Minister of Information Policyd of Ukraine Yurii Stets reported on the status of implementation of reforms envisaged by the Coalition agreement, the Government Programme for 2015 and 2020 Sustainable development strategy, implemented by the MIP during the reporting period.
The key issues of the MIP for the reporting period were: development of a new draft law “On foreign broadcasting system of Ukraine” and a launch of multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine, the restoration of Ukrainian broadcasting in the East of the country and annexed territory of Crimea, as well as the development and implementation of key documents in the field of information security of Ukraine.
Yurii Stets: “A few hours after my appointment, I said that we will publicly report on every step of our activity. Monthly in a live television broadcast we answer questions of Ukrainian and foreign journalists, publish financial reports on the official web site of the Ministry and provide information about daily activities of the MIP in four languages”. During his speech, the Minister said: “Tens of million of private funds were attracted to implement communications programs for MIP government reforms”.
